With abundant blessings and grace of Sri Guruji, GOD Toronto was blessed with 3 days of blissful Satsangs with Sri Ramanujam ji & Sri Venkatesan ji – a senior disciple of Sri Swamiji. A brief report:
Apr 6:
Food Donation: To mark the presence of Ramanujam ji in Toronto and as per divine words of Sri G ‘அன்னதானத்தில் கண்ணண் மகிழ்கின்றான்’, a food donation drive was organized and supplies of non-perishable and perishable foods were donated to Salvation Army Food Bank in Ingersoll in august presence of Sri Ramanujam ji & Sri Venkatesan ji.
Padhuka Abishegam: A special abhishegam for the divine Padhukas of Sri Swamiji was performed by Ramunujam ji and was blissfully witnessed by the gathered devotees.
On the evening of Apr 6, the first Satsang with Ramanujamji was held at Sri Guruvayoorappan Temple, Brampton. The program started with Nama chanting of Mahamantra by the devotees gathered for the Satsang. Next was the GopaKuteeram Annual Day Program. The students who were part of the yearly Gopa Kuteeram program confidently presented their learning of Shlokas, Bhaktha Charithras, Abhang Bhajans, skit on MuktaBai, as per kids’ age and syllabus with able guidance from the GopaKuteeram teachers and mentors. The presentation was thoroughly enjoyed by one and all gathered in the temple. Ramu ji was very moved by the kids’ bhakthi rasa which was reflected in their presentation. Gopakuteeram Program concluded with the Prize distribution ceremony where Ramuji blessed and awarded certificates and trophies to all the participant kids. The happy faces of the Gopakuteeram team and the students alike were captured in a group picture with Ramanujam ji and Venkatesan ji.
The temple committee honoured Ramanujam ji expressing their gratitude for his satsang in the temple, and presented a souvenir to mark his presence.
Ramanujam ji spellbound the gathering with a discourse on Bhagavata Dharma, extolling the importance of Shravanam ( Listening) with compelling & contemporary anecdotes and evidence to convey the essence of Shravanam – Active Listening as a stepping stone to develop Bhakthi.
The Satsang concluded with Arathi to Guruvayoorappan and Prasadam.
Following the lecture, he kindly interacted with the families gathered and offered his words of guidance.
Apr 7:
On the evening of Apr 7, the second Satsang was held at Shri Hari Har Mandir, St.Thomas. The Satsang started Mahamantra NamaKirtan where all devotees blissfully chanted the nama. The temple management was elated to host Ramanujam ji for the Satsang and gladly shifted the temple schedule to accommodate the Satsang.
Ramanujam ji blessed the Satsang with a discourse on Bhagavatha Dharma with a focus on the significance of being in the Satsang of Mahatma, developing vivekam to discern between good/pleasure, and touched upon Kunti Stuthi. He concluded the discourse with an emphasis on Shravanam/Listening quality to develop bhakthi.
Apr 8:
The concluding Satsang with Ramanujam ji was held at Ingersoll on the auspicious occasion of the Solar eclipse and celebrated with Thulasi Kalyanam. Satsang devotees received Thulasi prasadam from Ramanujam ji, and a group picture of the Satsang families with Ramanujam ji and Venketesan ji was captured to cherish the memorable 3-day Satsang.
