GOD Canada Charitable Activities

Promote devotion and inner peace among like minded members of the community through regular Hindu congregation/ Satsangs. During these congregations Hare Rama mahamantra is chanted, Srimad Bhagavatam, Ramayanam, Bhagavat Gita scripture are studied and songs in praise of the lord (Madhurageetham) are sung. These congregations take place for 2 hours on Fridays, 4 hours on Saturdays and 4 hours on Sundays and are attended by 20+ families.

Conduct prayer sessions in support of specific prayer requests through the chanting of the Maha Mantra and study of Hindu religious scriptures such as Vedas, Srimad Bhagavatam and Ramayanam.

Teach children of ages 3 to 15 on various aspects of rich Hindu culture through Gopa Kuteeram programs built on established syllabus and content. This syllabus was established with guidance from our Master Sri Swamiji by scholars based in India. Our trainers have adapted the syllabus. Volunteer teachers are trained on the syllabus through a “Train the Trainer Program”. Provide a platform for children to showcase their religious, cultural and artistic talent.

Conduct celebrations during special events (Utsav) observed by the organization such as Quarterly Divine Weddings of the Lord (Radha Kalyanam), the descent of Lord Krishna (Krishna Jayanthi), Diwali, Guru Poornima etc. The frequency of such celebrations have increased significantly 12 months preceding the time of this writing, outgrowing the space provided by temporary places of worship.

Conduct seasonal Hindu spiritual discourses and Hindu inner peace workshops during Spring and Fall of every year through trained speakers in Canada and visiting scholars from India. The spiritual discourses focus on Srimad Bhagavatam, Ramayanam, life stories of hindu saints and are typically attended by 25+ devotees. These discourses have been held staring 2023.

Live to the principle that Humanity and Divinity are inseparable and use Hindu religion to develop “love for all” through open house prayer sessions for devotees from all backgrounds without restriction of caste, gender, religion.

Establish prayer houses (Namadwaars) where chanting of the Maha Mantra and Hindu religious scriptures such as Vedas, Srimad Bhagavatam and Ramayanam are conducted all 365 days of the year. Recently in 2023, our master blessed us the Namadwaar in Edmonton and Toronto chanters may evaluate the market for the purchase of real estate as the chanters are outgrowing temporary places of worship such as houses of devotees for regular prayers and community halls for special events.

Conduct mantra meditation sessions aided with chanting of the “Hare Rama” mantra. The sessions will be run using a mobile application and a book titled “Life Is a Lyric” written by our Sri Swamiji. These sessions are estimated to run for 60 minutes.

Contribute to inter faith understanding and cooperation by participating in inter-faith prayer sessions. We plan to participate in joint prayer sessions in support of the well being of the communities we operate in.
